Many community services through local and outreach programs such as Palliative Care Volunteers, Senior Citizens groups, Probus Clubs, Girl Guides, Friends of the Library and Friends for Families support our towns and villages throughout the Corowa Shire. Corowa Community Health Service also provides access to support and volunteer groups such as the Friendly Circle.

UNIT Y “A WORK OF ART” An ArtStart Project has transformed Unit Y A GUIDE TO COMMUNITY GRANTS Other possible Grants for Community Groups and Organisations Corowa Shire Council Community Grants Corowa Shire Council acknowledges and accepts the need to provide financial assistance to locally based groups and organsations meeting a demonstrated need within the Shire where alternative grants/loans aid is either limited or not available. The Community Drought , Flood and Emergency Support Services Rural Support Workers provide support for families during drought and other emergencies, such as floods, fires and storms. This often involves supplying information on what support and assistance is available and who may be eligible, along with help in filling out the multitude of forms. Youth Services Corowa Shire hosts UNIT Y, a youth friendly venue for Young People 12-18 years, where activities and events take place on a regular basis. It is located at 44 Queen Street Corowa. Young people also have opportunities to participate in many sporting, recreation and cultural activities via several groups, clubs and organisations.
