Corowa Shire Tourism, in conjunction with Corowa Chamber of Commerce are pleased to advise that the Visitor Shopping Campaign initiative is ready to be launched to assist in driving extended visitation to the region.

The campaign will encourage visitors to shop at Corowa Shire and the local regional businesses by offering exclusive specials collectively presented as a booklet of coupons and provided to visitors free of charge.

This initiative would not have been possible without the support of the NSW Government, through NSW Trade and Investment.

Corowa Chamber of Commerce President, Paul Schnelle said, a total of 20 businesses have participated in this initiative by purchasing a coupon space and offering an exclusive special.

"Branded bags and promotional posters will be provided to participating businesses to assist with the overall promotion of this initiative," he said.

"This is a fantastic initiative for businesses to be involved with and provides the opportunity for businesses to collaborative market."

Corowa Shire Mayor, Cnr Fred Longmire said, "This campaign will compliment a range of initiatives currently being undertaken by Corowa Shire Tourism and assist with the overall tourism objective of increasing overnight stays and visitor spending in Corowa Shire.

"Corowa Shire Tourism and Corowa Chamber of Commerce are to be congratulated on their joint efforts to see this initiative realised. It is fantastic to see two important community organisations working together to deliver this project."

Corowa Shire Tourism President, Peter Hansen said, the campaign will encourage visitors to experience the retail diversity in Corowa Shire and the surrounding region and potentially extend their length of stay.

"The launch of this campaign is scheduled on Friday 23rd September, 5pm at the Corowa Whisky & Chocolate Factory. Everyone is invited and welcome to attend," he said.
