Ross and Wendy are your hosts when you visit Wyterrica Alpacas. Their first contact with these lovely animals was at Seymour Alternative Farm Expo, in 1995 where they were told by proud and enthusiastic owners the attributes of alpacas and the alpaca industry. They picked up an Alpaca Breeder's guide at Seymour , and armed with this, set forth and visited as many alpaca studs as possible as they travelled through Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and back. They purchased out foundation animals in August 1995 – three pregnant females & a weanling “ wether” male. They have focused on the ultimate on coloured Huacaya & Suri alpacas. By selectively breeding from their original Purrumbete females using their own superior males, outside males & imported males they have been able to develop their herd to the elite standard it has progressed to today. Wyterrica shop has a great range of Alpaca products on sale and a video that you can sit back and watch to learn more about the Alpaca family within Australia. Wyterrica Alpacas is located at 394 Cottons Road Cobram, 3644, which is near the Victoria / New South Wales border, about 8km south of Cobram.
