On Easter Saturday every year, the town of Corowa in Southern New South Wales comes alive as the centre of racing action, festival celebrations and family entertainment.

Organisers of The Statesman Motor Inn 2012 Australian Billy Cart Championships are excited to announce that nationally recognised motor sports driver, Nathan Pretty will attend this years event on Saturday 7 April. 

Nathan has driven for leading V8 supercar teams and recently finished second in the world in the International group A class of Jetsprint boat racing. 

Nathan is currently competing in the Australian V8 Ute racing series and is looking forward to joining in the action at the annual Australian Billy Cart Championships in Corowa. See attached media release for full details.

Forget the Melbourne Cup or Formula One, the hottest racing action in Australia happens in Corowa Annually. The Statesman Motor Inn 2012 Australian Billy Cart Championships is an event for all ages with competitors racing down the main street in their home-made or professionally created designs. Thrills, spills, short pants and scrapped knees are the order of the day; the stuff of childhood memories. These days, however expect the unexpected with designs limited only by the imagination.

This annual festival celebrates and showcases the spirit of the earliest form of racing - billy cart racing. This event also provides the opportunity for entrants and spectators to develop their racing skills and enjoy fabulous music and entertainment.

Entry Cost: Free Viewing - $10 entry prior to race day, $15 entry on race day. Entries are now open - download the entry form below, complete and return as per details on the form.

Time:  Billy Cart scrutineering 9-10am, Racing action starts at 10am. Family Entertainment from 9am.
